Every year, the Kentucky Derby is one of the most exciting and anticipated Triple Crown races. In 2023, it promises to be even more thrilling as some of the best horses in history will compete for a chance to win this prestigious race. With so much talent on display during this event, it can be difficult to pick just one horse that has what it takes to make it all the way through and become a champion. 1- The favorite going into 2023 is Noble Steed from California-based trainer Bob Baffert who won back-to-back Derbies in 2018 & 2019 with Justify and Country House respectively. He also trained 2021 winner Medina Spirit which makes him an obvious choice as a pre-race favorite once again!
2- Another contender that could give Noble Steed a run for his money is Preakness runner-up Gilded Age owned by WinStar Farm LLC based out of Versailles KY – he finished second at last year's Preakness but could prove himself worthy if given another shot at glory!
3- One horse sure to get attention due to its pedigree belongs to none other than former winni3-timing jockey Mike Smith whose son Jaden owns Mojo Rising – bred from two legendary sires Curlin & Street Sense making him quite possibly unbeatable when given proper training leading up until May 5th, 2024 (the date set aside for next years running).
