Recently it was announced that Sylvester Stallone will be reprising his role as John Rambo for a fifth installment to the franchise titled “Rambo: Last Blood” set to release later this year on September 20th 2019! Fans have been eagerly awaiting more details about this movie since its announcement last month but we now know that filming began earlier this week with Adrian Grunberg directing from a script by Matthew Cirulnick & Sylvester Stallone himself! 



In addition to Rambo 5 being released soon there is also an upcoming biopic based on Sly's life called "Samaritan" which will star none other than Sylvester himself! This film follows an aging superhero who must train an unlikely protégé when villainous forces threaten their city – sounds like another great action-packed movie coming our way soon enough starring Mr.Stallone so keep your eyes peeled for updates regarding Samaritan over the coming months ahead!

It was one of 1985’s highest grossing movies earning more than $300 million worldwide – plus critics praised its thrilling action sequences featuring Stallone at his peak physical condition!

 

 3) Cop Land (1997): In this crime thriller set in New Jersey town populated by police officers where corruption runs rampant - Sylvester plays Sheriff Freddy Heflin who must uncover truth behind mysterious death before time runs out . His emotionally charged performance earned him widespread critical acclaim alongside co-stars Robert De Niro & Ray Liotta making Cop Land another excellent addition our top seven list !

 He’s known for his roles in blockbuster franchises like Rocky and Rambo, as well as his Academy Award-nominated performance in Cop Land.


 But how did Sylvester Stallone's rise to fame begin? 


It all started when he was cast by director John Avildsen to play the lead role of Rocky Balboa in a low budget movie called “Rocky” (1976).


 At first, no major studio wanted to back it but eventually United Artists agreed and gave them a limited release.


 The film became an instant success and earned 10 Oscar nominations, including Best Picture and Best Actor for Sylvester Stallone! His career skyrocketed from there with films such as First Blood (1982), Tango & Cash (1989) , Cliffhanger(1993), Judge Dredd(1995)and Get Carter(2000).


 

Stallone also went on to become an accomplished screenwriter with credits that include writing all six installments of the Rocky franchise which has grossed over $1 billion at the box office worldwide making him one of Hollywood's highest paid writers ever! He even wrote two scripts while shooting First Blood which were later adapted into movies: Cobra (1986) starring himself and Lock Up (1989).
